Hautapu Pine is a large specialist producer of fence posts, poles, and house piles located north of Taihape in the lower North Island region.

Hautapu Pine has been producing roundwood for over 30 years.  The company supplies its products to a large number of merchants around New Zealand and has experience in exporting poles to Pacific and Asian countries.

Hautapu Pine is a family owned company established by Trevor Benson, who has a 50 year history in the wood industry.  Trevor is now semi-retired and his daughter and two of his sons manage the company.

The company also has three harvesting crews working in the lower North Island region.
